We all agree that circus is a factory of dreams and illusions.

Dreams and illusions that somehow become true under the big top and sometimes under the tyranny of gravity. Illusion, joy, anguish, fear, risk, drama, feast, mystery, fascination, the impossible, the unreal. All this and still more is the great ritual of circus that we all share since ever like a common heritage. (Carles Santos)

Premiered first in Parc de la Villette in Paris, on may 2002, Santos' opera-circus Sama Samaruck Suck Suck, supposes a new turn of screw in his scenic-musical works, which form without doubt the backbone of his musical production, by their dimensions and by their ellaboration. (Josep Ruvira)
